Two youths from Birsanagar were killed in an accident on NH-33 near Galudih thana in the Ghatsila sub-division on Monday.
The slain have been identified as Lakhan Karmakar and Sukhlal Karmkar, both aged in their twenties and residents of Garurbasa in Birsanagar.
According to Galudih thana OC, Sukhsagar Chaudhury, two youths were found in a pool of blood on NH-33 near a short distance from Galudih thana at noon.
“There was a bike lying on the spot, indicating that the bike they were riding was either hit by another vehicle or left the road. Both the injured were taken to Ghatsila Sub-Divisional Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries within an hour," the OC said.
The OC said that they are trying to find out the exact cause of the fatal accident.
